Elaine for Congress “Signatures” Ad Hits the Air, Telling the Story of the Widow of Deceased Voter Whose Name Appeared On Fraudulent Petitions

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Today, the Elaine for Congress campaign announced the launch of “Signatures,” their latest ad highlighting the real life consequences of the fraudulent signatures collected by Scott Taylor’s campaign. In August of 2018, Virginia Beach resident Bet Cake learned that her late husband Stuart Cake’s signature had been forged by the Taylor campaign in an effort to get a Third Party candidate on the ballot.

“Scott Taylor’s campaign’s actions have consequences,” said Campaign Manager Veronica Ingham. “The investigation into Scott Taylor and his campaign is ongoing and the election fraud committed by his staff is disqualifying and unbecoming of the office he seeks.”

Taylor and his campaign remain under investigation into allegations of election fraud. Last week Scott Taylor threatened legal action for even mentioning that he himself was under investigation.  Commonwealth’s Attorney John Beamer confirmed to 13 News Now that Taylor was under investigation and about Taylor’s claims to the contrary said, “No, that’s not true. The entire campaign is under investigation.”
