VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – During a Facebook live at his beachfront property in Virginia Beach, GOP retread Scott Taylor wrapped up his Labor Day weekend by going on an angry tirade against Congresswoman Elaine Luria calling her a “liar” for accusing Taylor of being under investigation. And then yesterday, a third staffer from Scott Taylor’s campaign was indicted for campaign fraud.
“Elaine Luria is a liar! A liar. I don’t have any charges pending against me.” said Scott Taylor, in regards to the ongoing investigation into his Campaign’s attempt to get third party candidate Shaun Brown on the ballot with fraudulent signatures in the 2018 election.
But today, a third staffer from Scott Taylor’s Campaign was indicted for election fraud and another staffer is set to stand trial September 24th. John Beamer, the special prosecutor overseeing the case, said Tuesday that the two-year investigation isn’t over yet and that he expects to see at least one more indictment. He said that no one has been cleared, including Taylor.
“He’s part of the campaign and the whole campaign is under investigation,” Beamer said.
This week the Luria campaign released two more digital ads called “Shady” and “Consequences,” focused on Taylor’s Election Fraud as part of their strategic six figure digital buy.
