“Congresswoman Elaine Luria went to Williamsburg to host a town hall on Thursday. “It was a pleasure to be back in Williamsburg and discuss pressing matters facing our community,” Congresswoman Luria said. “I thoroughly enjoyed the dialogue and I am already looking forward to my next opportunity to engage with Peninsula residents. The issues here at home and in Washington are so important, and I’m glad I had the chance to hear from the great people I represent.”
“During the town hall, Congresswoman Luria gave a brief update about her legislative accomplishments. She has introduced 12 bills in Congress, 11 of which are bipartisan. Of those 12 bills, two have become law and three have passed the full House of Representatives. Congresswoman Luria also highlighted her office’s help in assisting residents with federal and state agency issues. These ranged from helping residents receive disability back-pay from the VA to assisting constituents with issues surrounding the Virginia Department of Taxation.”
